2025-26 Indoor Season

How it Works

We rent the Prairie Athletic Club (PAC) soccer field from November thru March and offer adult (18+), coed scrimmage leagues on multiple nights. We play one 90-minute game per night, with two teams of 10-11 players team per team (5x5 + a keeper, plus 4-5 subs). These are not official PAC leagues, nor are they a business venture. Our group is simply renting the PAC field, scrimmaging, and socializing.

We have no refs, call our own fouls, keep subs moving, play to our own individual level, generally do not have set keepers so everyone plays a stint in goal, and we have fun! Our leagues consist of players of varying ages, genders, and skill levels. If you're looking for a "pure league" experience, give KEVA or TOCA a try.

You do not need to be a PAC member to play, but do not just show up expecting to play. Each league consists of a set of "regulars" (players grandfathered in from last season). Regulars pay at the beginning of the season and are guaranteed a spot each night (for their league night). When a regular can't make it one night, an email is sent to the SP Soccer Peeps email list and spots are offered to non-regulars (subs).

Subs pay just for the nights they play. Sub fees go toward the down payment for next year's field rental (i.e. sub money goes back into the leagues). Subs have the opportunity to become a regular at the beginning of the season if any of last year's regulars drop out.

Leagues

• Tuesday Night - every Tuesday, 11/04/2025 to 03/31/2026, 8:00-9:30 pm (22 nights)

• Thursday Night - every Thursday, 10/23/2025 to 4/9/2026 (no soccer 11/27, 12/25, or 1/1), 8:00-9:30 pm (22 nights)

  • In previous years, the Thursday league ran a little “faster”. However this year, the Thursday league is essentially starting from scratch, with only a handful of regulars from previous years returning. We are excited to see a new mix of players get involved and help define the "vibe" of Thursday nights.

Rules

• • Enter PAC at the rear entrance and sign in at the desk.

  • Non-PAC member need to complete the PAC Guest Waiver (see below).

  • Bring a RED AND a WHITE shirt. We'll form teams at the field.

    • Not pink, not yellow, not black, not neon orange ... RED and WHITE. Racks of these colors can be found at stores. Visit one.  

  • Wear shin guards, if you want. 

  • NO outdoor/long cleats on the PAC's turf field. Indoor flats or short/nub/turf cleats only.

  • Most leagues do not have set keepers, so everyone does a "shift" in goal.

  • Keep subs moving (sub every 3-5 minutes). Not following this rule may affect your chances of being invited back as a sub.

  • There are no referees. Call your own fouls. If someone gets knocked down, just reset the ball. Play competitively, but don't be a jerk.

  • Remember that we are a scrimmage league. The skill level of your teammates and opponents may differ from yours. Calibrate your enthusiasm!

Becoming a Regular

For the 2025-26 season, we need new "regulars" for both Tuesday and Thursday night leagues. If interested, contact Ryan Baker (ryanbaker1+peeps@gmail.com) to be added as a regular for either night. The deadline to sign up as a "regular" WAS September 30, 2025. There are no more "regular" spots available for the upcoming season, however we need subs often. See below about "Being a Sub".

Regulars are expected to RSVP each week to let the league know if they'll be attending that week. As a regular, you are guaranteed a spot to play each week. Any regular that does not RSVP by 8 am of game day may lose their spot that night to a sub. Once a regular, you are grandfathered in as a regular the following season.

Unless there is an injury or you drop out completely, there are no refunds for being a regular (i.e. if you miss a night, you don’t get money back). If a regular can not attend, their spot will be offered to the sub list. Sub fees collected go towards next year‘s field rental.

Fees

The fee to be a regular this season is $274. Fees are due October 15, or half then and the other half is due Jan 5. The season runs 22 nights, (roughly) November thru March. See payment options below.

Being a Sub

When regulars can't play, a "subs needed" email is sent to the SP Soccer Peeps email list (generally the day before game day). Subscribe to the email list to be notified of indoor (and future outdoor) playing opportunities. Sub spots are NOT first-come, first-served. All efforts are made to give as many Peeps a chance to play as possible.

PAC Guest Waiver

All non-PAC members (regular or sub) must complete the PAC Guest Waiver before arriving to the field.

Complete the waiver one time for the entire indoor season.

A photo of a valid ID must be uploaded with your waiver.
